Our trekking summer camp is an experiential learning programme for children. While the children climb to a summit in the Himalayas, unknown to them, we are conducting a programme that imparts life values and skills. It is designed such that children learn collaborative skills: to build relationships, handle conflicts, and share control. They gain confidence, resilience, and the ability to deal with hardships.
So if your child is between the ages of 10 and 14, this is a priceless adventure. You will see recognisable changes in them, lasting all the way into adulthood. We saw this unfold before our eyes in our 2023 and 2024 summer camps, taking over 1000 children across the two years. You’ll see multiple parents vouching for the summer camp.
Trekking Summer Camp – FAQs
1. What will kids do at the summer camp?
Our summer camps offer both adventure and learning opportunities. We focus on four key areas:
✅ Trekking & Camping Skills – Learning to trek, set up tents, and camp safely.
✅ Nature Skills – Understanding and appreciating nature.
✅ Sustainability – Learning to live minimally and responsibly.
✅ Life Skills & Behavior – Building independence, teamwork, and confidence.
2. Will my child have fun?
Absolutely! This is our third year running the camp, and every child returns with unforgettable memories, new friendships, and a deep connection with nature. From trekking in the Himalayas to cooking and playing in breathtaking landscapes, the experience is full of joy and adventure!
3. Will there be a woman guide in case of menstrual needs?
Yes, there will always be women trek leaders and guides on every camp. They are trained to handle such situations, ensuring that children feel comfortable and supported.
4. Will the weather be too extreme?
Daytime: Warm and pleasant (~20°C).
Nighttime: Cooler (~5°C), but can drop to sub-zero if it rains or hails.
Preparation: Follow the packing list and wear the right gear to stay comfortable. Trek leaders will help ensure children are warm and safe.
5. Can parents come along to the camp?
No, this camp is designed for kids to develop independence and responsibility. However, if you want to trek with your child, we recommend joining a family trek instead.
