I climbed Mt. Tsubakuro in the Northern Japanese Alps for the first time in my life. The trail felt very long and hard, which I think is due to the heavy weight of my backpack containing a tent and lots of other stuffs(^^;)
The landscape from the hut “Enzansou” was just amazing. You can enjoy panoramic views of Northern Alps mountains. You may also encounter a grouse if you are lucky.
Nakabusa Onsen, one of the most popular start points for the mountain, can be reached by bus from JR Hotaka station. Also there are three parking lots for those who want to come by car. I was able to park my car in one of the three lots at 3:00 am but the other two lots were already full.
Anyway, the experience I had this time was great! The next time I visit the mountain, I hope I can stay there longer.
