高野山の玄関口、九度山から高野山道路（国道370号線・国道480号線）で高野山に行きました。
標高約1,000m級の峰々に囲まれた山上盆地に広がる高野山は、1200年前に弘法大師空海が開創した真言密教の聖地です。
高野山全域を「総本山金剛峯寺」とし、特に「奥之院」と「壇上伽藍」は2大聖地として信仰を集めています。

From Kudoyama, the gateway to Koyasan, We took the Koyasan Road (Route 370 and Route 480) to Koyasan.
Koyasan is a sacred place of Shingon esoteric Buddhism founded by Kobo Daishi Kukai 1200 years ago.
The entire area of Mt. Koya is called “Kongobu-ji, the head temple.” In particular, “Okunoin” and “Danjo Garan” are two of the most sacred places of worship.
