This is my secret Mountain Pond spot near where I have hammock camped in the past. When I hiked into this spot I could not get around the frozen pond. So, I had to go in a different direction bushwhacking my way to try to get to a familiar location. Once I saw I wasn’t able to get through I stumbled on a new secret spot with two good trees hidden from civilization in a dense forest. I hung my hammock cooked a great meal then I prepared for the 29° overnight low temperatures. Before settling in for the night I heard a pack of coyotes just off in the distance.
